Obama ‘kill list’ paper leaked, includes criteria for assassinating US citizens

A leaked secret Justice Department “white paper” detailing the Obama administration’s legal justification for the targeted drone assassinations of Americans  living abroad made its way onto the Internet late Monday evening.

The 16-page white paper — said to be a summary of a longer 50-page document on the highly controversial policy — is seeing the light of day ahead of the Senate confirmation hearing of John Brennan, President Barack Obama’s top pick for CIA chief.

 

The longer document was written in 2010 to justify the addition of al-Qaida member Anwar al-Aulaqi, a U.S. citizen, to Obama’s secretive “kill list.”

John Stossel: Obama Is Not King

Watching President Obama's inaugural, I was confused. It looked like a new king was being crowned. Thousands cheered, like subjects worshipping nobility. At a time when America faces unsustainable debt and terrible economic troubles, why such pomp?

Maybe it's because so many people tell themselves presidents can solve any problem, like fairy-tale kings -- or gods.

Before America's first inauguration, John Adams suggested George Washington be called "His Most Benign Highness." Fortunately, Congress insisted on the more modest title, "President."

At his inaugural, President Obama himself said, "The patriots of 1776 did not fight to replace the tyranny of a king with the privileges of a few."

But then Obama went on to say that his privileged few should force the rest of us to do a zillion things.

He said, "We must do these things, together." But what "together" means to big-government folks is that they have a vision -- and all of us, together, must go deeper into debt to pay for their vision, even if we disagree.

We can afford this, as the president apparently told John Boehner, because America does not have a spending problem.

But, of course, we do have a spending problem, and a debt problem, and the president knows this.

Just a few years ago, when George W. Bush was president, the Congressional Record shows that Senator Obama said this: "I rise, today, to talk about America's debt problem. The fact that we are here to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure and our government's reckless fiscal policies."

Susan Brown: All the President’s Women

At least Romney had binders. Binders full of qualified women to fill cabinet positions, that is. Democrats mercilessly pounded Romney for the binders comment he made during the 2012 presidential campaign, but I'll bet the Obama campaign now wishes Romney had passed the binders on to Obama since it seems he's having a hard time picking women to fill his second term cabinet positions.

The recently released official White House photo of a predominately pale-faced and testosterone-filled cabinet (which I have no problem with) is enough to cause any misinformed voter into wondering what has become of the so-called party of women.

To be fair, women fill about half the White House staff positions, but the highest- level cabinet positions are currently extremely male and predominantly white. This seems a bit odd, considering the media narrative over the past 50 years has painted Republicans as the party of rich white men. But that's not the case, if you look at the actual highest-level cabinet positions women were appointed to since Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR)…

Judge Andrew Napolitano: Guns and the President

Here is an uncomfortable pop quiz: Who has killed more children, Adam Lanza or Barack Obama? We'll hold off on the answer for a few paragraphs while we look at the state of governmental excess -- including killing -- in America. But you can probably guess the correct answer from the manner in which I have posed the question.

We all know that the sheet anchor of our liberties is the Declaration of Independence. The president himself quoted Thomas Jefferson's most famous line in his inaugural address earlier this week. He recognized that all men and women are created equal and endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights and that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

The president would no doubt like to modify the word "created" to read "shall be maintained," since his presidency seems dedicated to keeping us equal, not in terms of equality of rights and opportunity but of outcome. He has dedicated himself to using the coercive power of the federal government to take from those who have and give to those who don't. Under the Constitution, charity is a decision for individuals to make, not the government.

Will Obama Shun Perpetual War?

Midway through his inaugural address, Barack Obama proclaimed, "A decade of war is now ending." A cynical listener might respond: "And a new decade of war is about to begin." Obama sounded pacific notes Monday. But it will be a huge surprise if he can get through four years without going to war.

Military force should not be a frequent recourse for our leaders. For the first century or so of the republic, it wasn't. Leaving aside the intermittent war against the Indians, wars were few and widely spaced.

Beginning with World War II, though, American presidents grew much more inclined to send our forces to fight in faraway places. The "Vietnam syndrome" supposedly cured that impulse. But it didn't last. Since 1989, University of Chicago scholar John Mearsheimer notes, we have been at war in two out of every three years. We are, in his words, "addicted to war."

Being engaged in combat is the norm. Peace is not really peace -- it's just a term we use for that brief interval between invasions.

Obama has a chance to break that pattern, and in his address, he gave hints he might like to. "We, the people, still believe that enduring security and lasting peace do not require perpetual war," he said. "We will show the courage to try and resolve our differences with other nations peacefully."

Hawks regard those as fighting words. The editors of National Review insisted that "it is clear neither that a decade of war is now ending -- not in Iraq or Afghanistan, to say nothing of Libya, Yemen, Pakistan, or Mali...

President Barack Obama’s second Inaugural Address has been greeted by much of the corporate media and his supporters as a new “liberal vision,” in the words of a New York Times headline.

But while much of the president’s rhetoric was progressive-sounding and strongly delivered, there was little actual content, and most of that was decidedly unprogressive and/or dishonest.

“A decade of war is now ending,” Obama stated. In fact, U.S. military attacks and interventions are continuing in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia and other countries. Every Tuesday, there is a gathering in the White House where the president signs-off on the assassination-by- drone-missile of targeted individuals—and anyone who has the misfortune of being near them at the time of the strike—in a number of countries, none of which is actually at war with the U.S. .

While declaring that “We, the people, still believe that enduring security and lasting peace do not require perpetual war,” Obama boasted that “America will remain the anchor of strong alliances in every corner of the globe.” The Pentagon continues to maintain 900+ bases on every continent. The U.S. military budget is larger than all other countries in the world combined! These are, in fact, the essential elements of perpetual war and empire.

In his speech, the president referenced “Seneca Falls and Selma and Stonewall,” seeking to present himself as a continuator of the historic movements for women’s, African American and LGBT equal rights. But in face, the advances of these movements have been the results of determined mass movements over decades and centuries.

Despite the reality that more immigrants have been deported during his administration than any other in history, Obama called for “bright young students and engineers” to be “enlisted in our workforce rather than expelled from our country.”

Some passages of the speech seemed to come from a parallel universe. “We know that America thrives when every person can find independence and pride in their work, when the wages of honest labor will liberate families from the brink of hardship.”

In the real world United States of 2013, more than 23 million people are unemployed or severely underemployed. More than 146 million—or 48 percent of the population—is classified as low-income or living in poverty, a record. Real wages have been relentlessly driven down over the past three decades. When adjusted for inflation, the minimum wage now is worth 45 percent less than it was in 1968.

Pat Buchanan: Clouds Over Obama's Second Term

Rarely have second terms lived up to the hopes and expectations of presidents or their electorates.

FDR's began with an attempt to pack the Supreme Court by adding new justices and a second Depression of 1937. He was rescued only by the war in Europe in 1939 and the GOP's nomination of "the barefoot boy from Wall Street," Wendell Willkie.

What can be called Harry Truman's second term was a disaster.

In 1949, the Soviets exploded an atom bomb and China fell to Mao. In 1950, the Rosenbergs were convicted as atomic spies for Stalin and North Korea invaded the South, igniting a three-year war Truman could not win or end.

He lost the New Hampshire primary in 1952 to Sen. Estes Kefauver, dropped out and saw would-be successor Adlai Stevenson crushed by Gen. Dwight Eisenhower, as Republicans captured Congress. Truman left with the lowest approval rating of a president before or since...

It's often hard to accept the truth, especially when that truth is scary -- when reality seems to offer no solutions, only poison from which to pick. We're seeing the same thing with Republicans in the wake of Obama's re-election.  Radio host Sean Hannity, citing changing American demographics, stated that his position on immigration has "evolved": we now must offer illegals some kind of pathway to citizenship (aka, Amnesty).  Other “conservatives” are warning that we must dispense with social issues or the Republican Party will be dispensed.

Of course, this isn't always rationalization. Some conservatives, and Hannity is likely among them, may truly believe that we can avoid electoral hell if we have just “one more Dance with the Devil.”  Conservatives have always responded to seemingly inevitable political changes by, slowly but surely, compromising their way to tyranny.

* November 2012 Poll Question – Should Conservatives and Tea Party activists finally leave the GOP and join CP-USA?

Analysis: As we have often stated, the Conservative Party is the next evolutionary step in the development of the Tea Party. While not all TP activists will appreciate and understand what CP-USA is all about, conservatives will. At least they will eventually since it will be clear to them that the TP needs to evolve from a wonderful grass roots movement into an effective political party.  Doing marches and waving signs can only go so far; conservatives must learn to convert all that energy and passion into something concrete.  The TP has a broad range of political factions that are mainly united by fiscal issues (not social). That presents a major political obstacle when creating a political party. CP-USA does not have that problem since it’s built from the ground up for social and fiscal conservatives.

While it was great that a number of conservatives were elected in 2010 because of effective TP actions, many of those TP favorite sons often voted along standard GOP lines once elected. Even Allen West, for example, voted to increase the debt ceiling in 2011. Since Republicans took control of the House in 2010 the U.S. national debt continued to rise every year. Every budget had a trillion dollar deficit. Every year and every budget cycle! Why?

The undeniable truth is because the GOP does not share TP values. It’s not fiscally conservative and it’s afraid to be socially conservative. As a matter of fact, the TP was not even mentioned or thanked once during the GOP Convention.

And that’s all the analysis you really need.

* It’s Not What’s Right, it’s What’s Real

You see, politics is not a matter of what’s right.  It’s a matter of what’s real.

Take a look around. Obama has just been re-elected. It’s hard to believe. Here’s someone we know so little about and yet is idolized and considered by many as “lord and savior.”  It’s not right but it’s real. Sure, knock the Low Information Voters (LIV).  They are not stupid; it’s just that they are smart about the wrong things. Liberals are masters at obfuscation and deception.

You know it’s true.  Look at the gelding press. They fawn over Obama and the Libs. Liberalism is their religion. They wouldn’t dare delve into Harry Reid’s alleged Utah mess or investigate the sex offender who worked for N.J. Senator Robert Menendez…until after the election. It’s bread and circus time.  More news about the Kardashians, Honey Boo Boo and Bill Clinton at the recent awards show.

So, how do we reach the LIV’s? We reach them with “Passion Points.” Conservatives need to speak from the heart.  Conservatives know issues inside and out.  But without an emotional connection it’s a loss.

Here’s the problem: Many Conservatives are entrepreneurs. Now that’s not a condemnation. Being an entrepreneur means working for yourself, helping others and making a profit. What’s real is entrepreneurs are sober-minded, solution-based and don’t go off on emotional tangents.  We investigate, do our due diligence and come up with solutions. OK, well and good. So what’s the problem?

The problem is that once Conservative entrepreneurs enter the political arena they approach liberals and Democrats in the same way.  Again, entrepreneurs are sober-minded individuals who look for solutions and then present remedies with a level of confidence and passion. Conservative entrepreneurs don’t lead with emotion.  But that’s what Liberals/Democrats do. They lead with emotion. They feel entitled.  They have so much pent-up passion and anger that it overwhelms Conservatives. That leaves Conservatives looking unprepared, uncaring, removed and unemotional.

I’m the Conservative Party USA Media and Presentation trainer. I’ll delve into my extensive background later. But just know I’m not new to this hoedown.  Been there, done that. Not long ago I was training a Conservative candidate for City office.  He knew everything about everything.  But, he would get into such minutiae he’d lose his audience after only a few minutes. Was he right?  Absolutely!  The problem was he wanted to be thorough. What was real? He gave too much information and turned off people.  No passion.

Fine points belong on the website with “in-depth” articles, White Papers, books or in private conversations after an event. People see, hear and think in sound bites.  He made no emotional connection, no passion points.  It’s not right, but it’s real. I suggested he personalize, give names and instances and incorporate it all with passion points.  Then buttress it all with some relevant facts and statistics.  But don’t go overboard.

One more war story.  Recently I trained a fellow Conservative who was getting ready for a radio interview.  I prepped him for what to expect and then did a fake phone interview with him. And, I came at him full blast. After a brief introduction, I asked him “Why do Conservatives hate women”?

Now we all know that’s a ridiculous question. But that’s what you get from the Liberal media.  I wanted to prepare him for the onslaught that would be coming. Well, the first thing he did was….laugh.  Then, he said, “that’s our dirty little secret.” Of course, he was joking. Then he talked about how important women are to the Conservative movement.

We did Q and A for another 10 minutes and then I said “Do you know what the headline will be for every Liberal newspaper, magazine, blog, TV and radio show? “Conservatives hate women.” “But, I was only joking”, he said. I told him that Liberals will have a field day with that response. They will say “How do we know you were joking?  Is the Conservative Party serious?  What other secrets are you hiding?”

All too often, Conservatives enter the Lion’s Den totally unprepared. They have the answers but come across as uncaring and unresponsive. No emotion. In order for Conservatives to succeed they need to incorporate passion points with solutions.

As I write this some of you will go out and try it.  Good luck. It takes time and training. Intellectually you’ve got it.  But emotionally, that’s another matter.

Be prepared.  It’s not a matter of what’s right.  It’s all about what’s real.

Obama Issues Executive Orders and Requests Legislation
To Begin Implementing New York Gun-Control Template

This week, President Obama issued 23 new executive orders and requested specific legislation from Congress that would begin to implement the New York gun-control template we flagged at Revolution PAC earlier in the week.  With these executive orders and legislative requests, Obama lays the foundation on which to erect a wall of obstacles to gun ownership and to establish a mental-health litmus test for gun ownership, which would force the entire nation through a psychiatric filter and into a psychiatric trap. (Watch our new TV ad and see how Joe Biden promised this abuse of power was coming.)

Investigative reporter Jon Rapoport describes the NY gun-control template this way:

“The law will restrict gun ownership, re-classify weapons in order to ban them—and, in a far-reaching move, create psychiatrists as cops who must report patients to law-enforcement, in order to keep the patients from owning a weapon.

Psychiatrists must report patients “who could potentially harm themselves or others.” If such a patient owns a gun, it will be confiscated.

This means a comprehensive database, accessible by law-enforcement personnel and anyone else involved in doing background checks.  These “problematic” patients will be kept from buying a new weapon, too. Otherwise, the law would have no teeth.”

Obama's Psychiatric Trap

Two of Obama’s executive orders in particular lay the groundwork for full implementation of the psychiatric trap that is the centerpiece of the NY gun-control template.  One executive order would clarify that the Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare) does not prohibit doctors asking their patients about guns in their homes.  The other presidential order releases a letter to health care providers clarifying that no federal law prohibits them from reporting threats of violence to law enforcement authorities.

Using these executive orders as the beachhead and the nations governors, state legislators and mayors as the president’s foot soldiers, one can anticipate that before long, more and more major institutions that people commonly come into contact with—ObamaCare hospitals and doctors' offices with their government-accessed electronic health records; public schools and soon private schools and home schoolers; the DMV; credit agencies and investigators doing background checks; the U.S. military via the VA; Social Security, Medicare, student loans, government agencies hiring employees and contractors and even, eventually, private corporate human relations departments—all will be dragooned into the job of collecting mental-health data and pushing people through the psychiatric filter into the psychiatric trap, which will serve as the pretext and justification for denying people their constitutional rights and giving the government more control over them. 

To appreciate where Obama’s executive orders, legislative requests and the NY gun-control template will lead, one need look no further than what happened to former Marine Brandon Raub in Virginia last year when a combined strike force of federal, state and local agents kidnapped Raub and tried to disappear him into the Virginia psychiatric gulag under the dodgy Virginia mental-health laws.

Governments at all levels will collect psychiatric data promiscuously and psychiatric screens will become routine, psychiatric clearance requirements and ratings will become commonplace, not only to deny people their rightsprotected under the Second Amendment but even beyond that also to create an entire new class of people classified with “mental abnormality” (who knows what Orwellian term will be chosen as a euphemism) who will receive "special" treatment under the law and Constitution.

The NY template that the president has taken the first steps to implementing will create a mental-health litmus test, pure and simple; a psychiatric roach-motel that will be used to entrap and disarm the America people, all as part of the larger effort to force Americans into submission and compliance with the whims of government agencies at every level. 

The president’s new executive orders are only the subtle beginnings of anaggressive gun-control campaign that may not readily catch the attention or raise the ire of many people.  These orders all sound so “reasonable.”  But, they are just the beginning, and one can now fully anticipate a kind of choreographed and coordinated effort among the Obama White House, some Members of Congress, certain Democratic governors (led by NY Governor Andrew Cuomo), and big-city mayors (led by NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel along with their Mayors Against Illegal Guns group) to advance the New York gun-control template through state legislatures, city halls and eventually the Congress.

Not only is the NY template’s mental-health litmus test morally wrong; it is also blatantly unconstitutional.  America is not, yet, the land of "Minority Report", and there is no “Pre-Crime” but Obama is rushing the country in that direction at light speed.  Obama’s executive orders set the stage for consigning to second-class citizenship everyone who seeks therapy and counseling or whose parents took them to mental health providers as a child, or any veteran diagnosed or suspected of suffering post-traumatic stress syndrome.

Any mental-health litmus test also will be plagued with the potential for perverse unintended consequences. How many patients will avoid the mental health care system altogether in fear they will lose their civil and natural rights and be registered and classified as crazy? Without people voluntarily seeking mental-health treatment, how oppressive will government have to become to force them through the psychiatric screens into the psychiatric trap?

Obama's Al Capone Strategy

The Obama executive orders and legislative requests also begin implementation of that part of the New York gun-control template that would use a thicket of gun regulations and restrictions, taxes and fees to make gun ownership prohibitively onerous and expensive and to classify ammunition as a legally suspect, heavily regulated form of firearm “paraphernalia” the way many drug laws treat cigarette papers, pipes and clips.

So, you will be able, for a while, to own a gun, as long as it is has only small capacity to shoot small rounds.  You will be able to own a gun, for a while, but only if you submit yourself to invasive, humiliating and expensive government prying and dossiers.  You will be able to own a gun, for a while, but not use it for self-defense without being prosecuted for wrongful use of the gun.  You will be able to own a gun, for a while, but only if you can afford to pay the taxes and comply with the high hurdles the government sets up to discourage and impede gun ownership.  You will have Second Amendment Rights as redefined by the government. The Second Amendment will, as the Tenth Amendment before it, become a dead letter.

The game the president is playing is devious and insidious.  In advancing toward the New York gun-control template, President Obama is maneuvering to create a whole new criminal class of "non-compliant" people who ignore, misunderstand, circumvent or simply are unaware of the onerous regulations, rules and taxes the NY template will impose on guns and ammunition.  Once the government succeeds in forcing people “out of compliance” with these many unconstitutional laws and regulations, the jaws of the trap will close.  There will be a host of new crimes created out of whole cloth, which can then be used to prosecute all the new gun “criminals.”  It’s the Al Capone strategy all over again.

Congressman calls on Obama to denounce video game that assassinates NRA officials

Wisconsin Republican Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner is calling on President Barack Obama to denounce an online video game that encourages players to shoot and kill National Rifle Association officials.

In a letter to Obama, Sensenbrenner on Tuesday voiced concern about the video game, “Bullet to the Head of the NRA,” which allows players to assassinate NRA President David Keene with a scoped firearm.

“Making threats against public figures who speak out either for or against gun control prevents us from having a reasonable, thoughtful debate,” Sensenbrenner wrote in his letter. “Although we may have strong disagreements on the best ways to reduce gun violence, it is my hope that we can both agree that video games targeting specific individuals who speak out on this issue, is counterproductive.”

The congressman, who boasts an “A” rating from the NRA, urged the president to “publicly denounce this video game and encourage civil discussion on the matter.”
