RNC Chairman Reince Priebus Announces RNC Chief Of Staff

3 February 2011

WASHINGTON – The Republican National Committee (RNC) made a key staff hire today installing Jeff Larson as its new Chief of Staff:

“As we prepare to make huge Republican gains in the 2012 cycle, I am excited to announce Jeff Larson will be the new Chief of Staff of the RNC after a thorough search process. Having served as the CEO of the 2008 Host Committee for the Republican National Convention, a campaign staffer for George H. W. Bush, a Regional Political Director for the RNC and an advisor on both of George W. Bush's presidential campaigns, Jeff’s extensive background as a businessman, veteran political strategist and operative will be an invaluable resource. I am confident Jeff is exactly what this committee needs to turn this committee around, and I look forward to working closely with him to elect Republicans and beat Barack Obama.” – RNC Chairman Reince Priebus

“Jeff Larson is a huge win for the RNC, and we look forward to working with him to continue rebuilding this committee. Our transition team set out to turn the RNC around by bringing donors back into the fold, reaching out to Party leaders and bringing in top-notch staff to run a winning organization. Having Jeff as Chief of Staff brings a wealth of political knowledge that will only make Republicans more successful in 2012.” – Ed Gillespie and Nick Ayers

“Republicans have great potential to build on our wins in 2010, and I am honored by the opportunity to be a part of it as the Chief of Staff of the RNC. I share Chairman Priebus’ passion for the Republican Party and his vision to run an efficient and effective committee. The transition team has gotten off to a tremendous start, and I look forward to continuing on their successes by putting together a talented team to continue the RNC’s rich tradition of electing Republicans.” – Jeff Larson
