Ron Paul: “This Is Outrageous!”

Dear friend of liberty,

After Kurt Bills won the endorsement to be the official Republican candidate in the race for United States Senate from Minnesota – thanks to the help of good folks like you – two of his opponents did the honorable thing . . .

They dropped out and threw their support behind Kurt’s candidacy.

That is because Kurt is the real deal. He is a true believer in Liberty with the ability to carry the freedom message to victory this fall.

One opponent, however, has not been so honorable. He instead decided to attack Kurt, smear me and, by extension, all of what you and I believe in.

Just watch this disgusting attack Kurt’s opponent is running on FOX News in Minnesota during Sean Hannity's Show and The O’Reilly Factor.

People like Kurt’s opponent don’t care about your Liberty. They just want power for themselves, and they will stop at nothing to get it.

Fortunately, when Liberty is attacked, people like you stand up. I hope you are as outraged by this disgusting ad as I am.

Let’s flood Kurt Bills with donations so he can get his positive message of sound money, limited government, and balanced budgets out to the voters.

I know if you and I help him now he can beat down these dirty attacks and win in the fall.

Please consider making a contribution of $50, $100, $250, or even the federal maximum contribution of $2,500 today.

Remember, Kurt is being attacked for standing with you and me. Let’s stand with him and give him the money he needs to fight.

For Liberty,

Ron Paul

An Administration-Wide Response to the Drought

Throughout much of the country, communities are struggling with one of the worst droughts to strike the U.S. in decades. And President Obama has directed the federal government -- from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to the Army Corps of Engineers -- to provide assistance to farmers, ranchers, and small businesses wrestling with this crisis.

The President has described this as an "all-hands-on-deck response." Yesterday, he said, "We're going to continue to solicit ideas from state and local organizations, faith-based organizations, not-for-profit groups, the private sector, and most of all, the farmers and ranchers that are directly impacted, to find additional ways that we can help -- because when there’s a disaster like this, everybody needs to pull together."

Gov. Johnson In the News: Johnson-Gray Ticket On the Move

Gary Johnson, Libertarian
Seattle Times
By Bruce Ramsey

New Mexico is a “blue” state, 47% Hispanic. Johnson won the governorship the first time with 49.8 percent of the vote in a race against an incumbent Democrat and a third-party Green. He won the second time with 54.5 percent. In 2008 he supported libertarian Republican Ron Paul for president, and in 2012 Johnson announced a run himself. He would have had Paul’s supporters this year, except that Paul ran again and kept them for himself.

Libertarian hopeful Gary Johnson gets warm welcome in chilly Alaska
Alaska Dispatch
By Amanda Coyne

Even though Alaska has a relatively strong Libertarian Party, former two-term New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson’s face isn't readily recognizable to many in the state. So it was surprising to this reporter when a young man walked up to his table at the Midtown Anchorage Village Inn, where Johnson was munching on a cobb salad, to shake his hand and thank him for running for president of the United States.

John Tate: Only the Beginning

Dear friend of liberty,

Can you imagine how establishment Republicans will react when they watch a sea of Ron Paul supporters gather in Tampa in just a few weeks?

Perhaps you won’t have to imagine, since you’re going to be there.  Or maybe you’d just like to show your support for Ron Paul and his delegates wherever you are.

The campaign store has added a special new t-shirt in anticipation of Dr. Paul’s upcoming Tampa rally – to guarantee his supporters stand out – and I wanted to make sure you saw it.

Whether or not you’ll be able to make it to the Tampa rally, this t-shirt has a LOUD-AND-CLEAR message worth sending all over the country.

Our R3VOLUTION is not over.  In fact, it’s just beginning.

And I believe the Republican National Convention in Tampa – where Ron Paul delegates can have an enormous impact - will prove that.

It’s because of good folks like you that the Liberty Movement is set to lead the Republican Party in the very near future.

You and I are Ron Paul’s legacy.

And this is the movement that is finally going to restore respect for free markets, sound money, individual liberty, and a constitutional foreign policy in America.

For Liberty,

John Tate
Campaign Manager

President Obama on the Shooting in Wisconsin

In response to yesterday's shooting in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, President Obama released this statement:

Michelle and I were deeply saddened to learn of the shooting that tragically took so many lives in Wisconsin. At this difficult time, the people of Oak Creek must know that the American people have them in our thoughts and prayers, and our hearts go out to the families and friends of those who were killed and wounded. My Administration will provide whatever support is necessary to the officials who are responding to this tragic shooting and moving forward with an investigation. As we mourn this loss which took place at a house of worship, we are reminded how much our country has been enriched by Sikhs, who are a part of our broader American family.

Cruz Victory a Win for Ron Paul, Loss for Rick Perry and GOP Establishment

Last week, Ted Cruz became the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in his Texas runoff against Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst.

Both Ron Paul and Texas Governor Rick Perry made endorsements in two high profile U.S. Senate races.

In Minnesota’s Senate race, Ron Paul endorsed Kurt Bills in the Republican Primary. Gov. Perry endorsed Bills’ opponent Pete Hegseth.

Bills won.

In Texas Senate race, Ron Paul endorsed Ted Cruz in the Republican Primary. Gov. Perry endorsed Cruz’ opponent David Dewhurst.

Cruz won.

Both of these races were also wins for Ron Paul. They were also losses for Gov. Perry.

Said Sen. Rand Paul at a rally he and his father held for Cruz: “The revolution is working, we have infiltrated the Republican Party, and we will convert the Republican Party to defenders of liberty…”

Said Ted Cruz at that same rally: “The best thing to happen to the Republican Party was to get its teeth kicked in in 2008…”

Between, Paul and Perry, it’s easy to see which Texan is having more influence on the future and direction of the Republican Party.

Many have said the Tea Party is dead. Cruz’ victory proved that it’s not.

Many think the Ron Paul movement will die after Dr. Paul leaves office. They are wrong. Dead wrong. And Cruz’ victory is but a tiny sliver of what is yet to come.
