Secures 3-way Tie of Crucial Delegate Count in Iowa, matching Romney and Santorum, Reports Revolution PAC
http://RevolutionPAC.com | Republican Presidential Candidate Ron Paul emerged in a strong position reports Revolution PAC following Tuesday’s Iowa Caucuses matching Governor Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum’s delegate count of six per candidate. Whereas Ron Paul more than doubled his support in the Hawkeye state, former Governor Romney received a lower percentage of the vote than he did four years ago and former Senator Rick Santorum looks to be on a very similar trajectory as Mike Huckabee who was the surprise candidate to surge at the last moment during the 2008 election cycle.
An overlooked story from last night was Ron Paul’s strong showing among independents, and it is this that the Congressman has pointed to as evidence of his electability in November. Supporters say he continues to prove his ability to assemble a coalition, confined not just to traditional Republicans, that the GOP nominee will need in the fall.
“What’s more,” says Thomas Woods, “for a candidate who’s been told he had an 8% ceiling, then an 11% ceiling, and then a 15% ceiling, a 22% showing is very strong. And he accomplished this in the face of an astonishingly vicious, nonstop media attack against him on all networks — something no other candidate, for all the attacks they’ve endured, has been subjected to.”
Revolution PAC is supporting Ron Paul’s consistent, constitutional message with targeted TV advertising, direct mail campaigns and innovative Web promotions complemented by billboards and radio ads in key primary states. Unlimited donations by individuals, businesses, and organizations are being accepted by Revolution PAC to support that effort. Contributions to help fund the broadcast of the “Who is Ron Paul?” series in key primary states may be made at RevolutionPAC.com/compassion.
