RNC Chairman Priebus Statement On President Obama’s Failed “Recovery Summer”

By Michael Short

WASHINGTON – Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus released the following statement today on the one year anniversary of President Obama’s failed “Recovery Summer”:

“Today is yet another reminder of the failed economic leadership of Barack Obama and Washington Democrats. The millions of Americans who were counting on President Obama’s ‘Recovery Summer’ to spur job creation are still waiting as the national unemployment rate sits at an unacceptable 9.1%. Despite President Obama promising Americans economic relief, they continue to see their bills increase while their home values drop and the nation’s overall economic outlook grows increasingly bleak.

“This is not a ‘bump in the road’ or a ‘turnaround’, but a nearly three year long trend of failed economic policies that are bankrupting our county and stifling job creation. Washington Democrats now say they own the Obama Economy, but seem more interested in deflecting the bad economic news than doing anything to fix it. If this is the economic leadership the President and his party are running on in 2012, there is little question he will be a one-term president.”
