RNC Chairman Reince Priebus Statement On The Montana State Chairman Election

Posted by: Michael Short

WASHINGTON – Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus today issued the following statement on the Montana State Chairman election:

“I want to congratulate Will Deschamps on his reelection as Chairman of the Montana Republican Party. Will’s hard work and leadership were instrumental to our Party capturing a majority in the Montana State House, and I am thrilled to see he has been rewarded with a second term.  With a conservative grassroots leader like Will Deschamps at the helm of our Party in Montana, we can retire liberal Senator Jon Tester, put a Republican back in the Governor’s mansion, and shut the door on Barack Obama’s hopes of carrying Big Sky Country in 2012. Faced with rising food and gas prices on top of Washington’s job-crushing spending binge,  Montana voters know they cannot afford to send Jon Tester and Barack Obama back to Washington for another term. I look forward to continuing to work with Will so we can win a majority in the U.S. Senate and make Barack Obama a one term president.”
