WASHINGTON - Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus and Co-Chairman Sharon Day released the following Easter message:
"As families and congregations gather together in joyful celebration this morning, I want to wish everyone a happy and blessed Easter," said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. "Today, the Christian faithful celebrate the resurrection of our Lord. We celebrate God's grace, his glory, and the gift of everlasting life. We remember that the God who made us is a God who loves us.
"Love has triumphed over death, goodness has triumphed over fear, and the Psalmist's words take on a new meaning: 'Joy comes with the morning.' That is surely a message which we can all celebrate."
"As the timeless Easter hymn declares, 'Christ the Lord is Risen today! Alleluia!'" said RNC Co-Chairman Sharon Day. "We count our blessings on this Holy Day, especially the blessing of living in a nation where we can worship freely and openly. "I pray that the happiness of Easter Morning remains with us the entire year. And I hope that God continues to richly bless America-today and every day. Happy Easter."
