Friends and Supporters,
Gary Johnson knows about challenges.
9 years ago this week, Governor Johnson
was working his way up to the highest point on the planet: The summit of
Mt. Everest. He reached that summit on May 30, 2003, -- despite having
broken his leg a few weeks earlier and suffering some pretty serious
frostbite.
Now, in 2012, Gov. Johnson is on
another, even greater, climb. A climb to restore Liberty as the
bedrock governing principle of this great nation. And he would be the
first to tell you that this year’s climb is far, far more important than the
one he made 9 years ago.
He would also be the first to tell you
that this climb isn’t his to do alone. He has a great many supporters,
like you, who have put the summit in sight with your crucial financial
support. Just yesterday, Public Policy Polling released a
survey showing Governor Johnson at 9% in the key state of Arizona.
That number, along with those from other
states, is getting the serious attention of the status quo, two-party
political establishment. They know that a successful two-term
governor -- who actually and effectively applied the notions of smaller
government and greater freedom to governing – is a legitimate threat to their
comfortable big government, special-interest-driven system.
Of course, the elite media hasn’t quite
figured it out yet. But they don’t know Gary Johnson. They would
probably doubt that a college kid could start a one-person handyman business
and turn it into one of the largest construction companies in New Mexico.
They dismissed the absurd idea that a first-time candidate with no name
recognition could be elected Governor – and reelected – in an overwhelmingly Democrat
state. And they probably would have doubted that he would make it to the
top of Mt. Everest. They didn’t get it then, and they don’t get it now.
But we get it. We know there are
millions of Americans who see that Barack Obama and Mitt Romney will only offer
more of the same big government, less liberty and interventionist policies that
are driving us off a cliff. And we know those Americans will find the choice
they want in Governor Gary Johnson, provided they get to know him the way we
know him.
That requires your help. Just as
Gov. Johnson set a goal nine years ago to reach 29,035 feet -- the height
of Mt. Everest, we have set a goal to raise $29,035 between now and May 30,
2012. Just as the Governor made it to the top of the planet, we can achieve
this goal also, but only with your help. Go to www.garyjohnson2012.com
, make a contribution – and help make sure we don’t come up short.
This is a climb we will all have to make
together. We wouldn’t have gotten this far without the financial support
of you and many others like you. And we won’t make it to the summit
without your continued support. $29,035. That’s the number, and your
contribution at www.garyjohnson2012.com
today will help us get to the top.
And getting to the top in 2012 is far
more critical than it was for Governor Johnson nine years ago. This isn’t
a mountain; it is the future of our great nation. The Governor knows he
can’t make this climb without you, and he deeply appreciates every
contribution, large or small. Liberty is at stake, and securing it for
ourselves and our children is a goal we must achieve.
Thank you, and we look forward to your
contribution between now and May 30. We can do this!

P.S. Every day, more and more people are
asking for signs, bumper stickers and campaign literature to share with their
friends and neighbors. All of those cost money. $29,035 will
put a lot of signs in a lot of yards and windows! Go to www.garyjohnson2012.com
now and make sure we can fill all those “orders”.
