Emken: Happy Birthday, Dianne Feinstein

Somebody leaked that tomorrow is Dianne Feinstein's birthday...and we're calling for a full investigation!

Seriously, we're hoping this birthday greeting is just as big of a surprise to her as some of the other things that have obviously slipped her attention recently, like the fact that since the last time she faced the voters, she's added over $6.5 trillion to the national deficit as a member of the Senate Appropriations committee...or the fact that Feinstein and her fellow Senate Democrats have gone over 3 years without passing a budget...or that California has the 3rd highest rate of unemployment, the 4th highest foreclosure rate, and the highest combined tax rates in the nation. AND FEINSTEIN IS OKAY WITH THAT!

While Feinstein was busy demanding equal pay for women, it turns out that the women working in her own office were making an average of $21,000 a year less — that's 41% lower — than her male employees. Couple that with calling for a investigation on national security leaks, remembering you leaked a few secrets yourself, then turning around and blocking the very investigation you demanded and you can see how hard it is for Feinstein to keep track of the truth.

All the same, it must be comforting to know that over half of the voters in the recent U.S. Senate primary said they'd rather have somebody else take over her job so she can enjoy her retirement.

It's time for a change.

So we're taking up a little collection to send her off on a big "Bon Voyage" this November. Join me in wishing Dianne Feinstein a happy birthday by following this link to sign her card and chip in $79 or whatever you can afford to send her into retirement in style.

I don't know about you, but when I turn 79 years old, I hope I'll be retired and enjoying life to the fullest. But if Feinstein continues her bankrupting tax-and-spend agenda, we'll both still be working well into our eighties just to put food on the table each night. Forget about taking those vacations you've dreamed about!

What Senator Feinstein gets at 79:

• over $200,000 in salary and perks
• sweet pension package
• lifetime medical coverage
What Many Californians Get at 79:

• foreclosure notice
• hefty prescription drug bills
• notice that insurance will no longer cover them
