Please, make a call to Congress now to keep 2,000,000 unemployed workers from losing their lifelines. The rallies across the country are making a difference, but please make the call, too!
The Restore the American Dream for the 99% Act
The Congressional Progressive Caucus introduced the biggest jobs bill yet. The bill, authored by Progressive Caucus Co-Chairmen Reps. Keith Ellison (D-MN) and Raul Grijalva (D-AZ), would create more than 4 million jobs and reduce the deficit by more than $2 trillion over the next 10 years, making it the biggest government effort thus far to marshal the resources needed to address the economic crisis. Democracy in Action
December 8th was a national day of action for jobs and helping the unemployed. In Washington DC, Occupy Congress was the story of the day. In Springfield, IL a Republican Congressman decided that he didn't like their message - literally. A chalk message on the sidewalk to support the unemployment extension bill caused Rep. Aaron Schock to call the police on demonstrators!
