WASHINGTON – Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus released the following statement on November fundraising:
“Fueled by grassroots supporters and major donors alike, the Republican National Committee raised an impressive $7.1 million last month — a new RNC record for off-year fundraising in the month of November.
“Over the past several months, we have broken multiple records at the RNC, and, as a result, our cash-on-hand now totals $14.1 million. We now have more cash in the bank than debt. This past month, we were able to shrink our debt by over half a million dollars and, in less than 10 months, we have added over $13.5 million in cash on hand while also retiring almost $11 million in debt.
“So, heading into 2012, the RNC will be operating from a position of significant fiscal strength, and, with the approaching caucuses and primaries, the political momentum is firmly on our side. The combination of Republican voters’ enthusiasm, and the RNC’s robust fundraising makes me confident that we have a winning year ahead of us.
“Furthermore, we continue to spend the dollars entrusted to us in the most effective way possible, working to build and maintain the political infrastructure that will allow us to be victorious up and down the ticket next November.
“I sincerely thank all of our donors for their support. Every dollar raised brings us one step closer to making Barack Obama a one-term president.”
